Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 2 April 2026 · FlowStudio

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FlowStudio web application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who operates the Service

FlowStudio is provided in connection with Syncster and its operator. For questions about these Terms, contact admin@syncster.dev.

2. Description of the Service

FlowStudio offers engineering and educational worksheets for topics such as open-channel hydraulics, weirs, gradually varied flow, gates, seepage approximations, and related calculations. The Service may store your projects, folders, and worksheet inputs and outputs when you sign in and use the hosted backend. Features and worksheet types may change over time.

3. Not professional advice

The Service is an aid for learning, checking, and preliminary design. Outputs depend on simplifying assumptions, textbook-style methods, and data you supply. The Service is not a substitute for qualified professional engineering judgment, site-specific investigation, physical modeling, or compliance with applicable laws, standards, and project requirements. You are solely responsible for how you use results and for any decisions affecting safety, the public, or the environment.

4. Accounts and authentication

Sign-in may be provided through Google (Firebase Authentication). You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. FlowStudio does not store your Google password. Access tokens used by the app may be held in your browser (for example, in localStorage) as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others or overloads infrastructure;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems;
  • reverse engineer or scrape the Service in violation of applicable law or these Terms;
  • upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content through forms or feedback channels.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these rules are violated or if required for security or legal reasons.

6. Your content

You retain rights to data you enter. To operate the Service, you grant a limited licence to host, process, and display your projects and worksheets on the systems that run FlowStudio, including storage and backups as configured by the operator.

7. Intellectual property

The Service’s software, branding, layout, and documentation (excluding your content) are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service in line with these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (for example, Google / Firebase for authentication, hosting, and infrastructure). Their services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, or that results will meet your requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us specifically for FlowStudio in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if the Service is offered without charge.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms. We will indicate an updated effective date for material changes where practicable. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
